QUALIFYING MARKS OF A PAPER/PROGRAMME of B. Sc. (Hons.)/B. A. (Hons) /B. Com. (Hons.)

A student requires to score at least 30 percent marks in each paper to qualify

QUALIFYING GRADE FOR A SEMESTER OF B. Sc. (Hons.) / B. A. (Hons.)/B.Com (Hons.)

Minimum Qualifying Grade in a Semester is equal to 4 Grade points into Number of Papers per Program AREER PAPER Arrear paper will be allowed in Core Course, GE, AECC, ACC and DSE in a particular Semester.

NUMBER OF CHANCES FOR APPEARING IN END SEMESTER EXAMINATION

1.0:

For UG students (including BCA), in particular Semester, two chances (including first appearance) are allowed. However, one additional chance may be allowed as a special case only for the students of 3rd and 4th Semester (2nd Semester) if he/she fails to qualify even after availing two chances in a Semester. In that case, remaining chances allotted for the 5th of 6th (3rd Year) will be reduced by one.

2.0:

For a PG student, in a particular Semester two chances (including first appearance) are allowed. As a special case one additional chance may be allowed in the 2nd Year (4th Semester). This will be restricted to those students who did not avail any chance in the 1st year(1 & 2 Semester).

2.01:

No additional chance will be given to the student who does not qualify even after availing the special chance; his/her registration will be cancelled without an limitation.

2.02:

In no circumstances, registration will exceed more than six years for UG and more than four years for PG courses.

PERCENTAGE OF ATTENDANCE

Students must have requisite percentage of attendance before they are sent up University Examination:

Collegiate: 75 percent and above
Non-Collegiate: 60 percent to less than 75

Non-collegiate students are allowed to appear for the University examinations on payment of requisite condonation fees. Students having attendance below 60 percent are not permitted to appear for university examination as per the regulations of the university. Attendance for Internal Examinations: students must have at least 60 percent attendance for qualify to appear for unit test/internal examination. Students do not have atten- dance in any class in a particular month will not to be allowed to attend classes in the next month.

REVIEW / RE-EXAMINATION

1.0:

Review of papers not more than 50 percent of the total papers will be allowed in a particular semester.

2.0:

There will be no review for practical examinations but there will be a provision for re-addition of marks obtained in a practical paper.

2.01:

Review is offered for both Regular and Arrear paper(s).

2.02:

All eligible candidates should apply to the Controller of Examinations for re-examination/review or re-addition in the prescribed form available in the website of the university within 15 days from the issue of Mark sheet after remitting fees prescribed by the authority.

2.02:

In case of variation of 5% (calculated on marks awarded) or less marks between the initially awarded and the reviewed marks the change will be ignored.

2.02:

In case of variation of marks more than 5% (calculated on marks awarded) the initially obtained marks and marks obtained after review will be averaged out to find out the final marks.

2.02:

Final marks may be more or less than the marks awarded initially. However, class/division initially awarded will not be lowered in any case due to re-examination of answer script. Similarly a candidate declared pass initially will not be declared unsuccessful in any case. In such case marks initially awarded remain unchanged.

FINAL DEGREE CERTIFICATE

Vidyasagar University will award Degree to the students evaluated and recommended by the Autonomous Colleges run under the jurisdiction of Vidyasagar University. The Degree Certificate will be in a common format devised by the University. The name of the College will be mentioned in the Degree Certificate.

MIGRATION CERTIFICATE

Students from other Universities (UG and PG) must submit the Migration Certificate from University under which they appeared for the last examinations, within one month from the date of their admission in to the college. Migration Certificate shall be issued to the registered students moving from this college to other University/College on request and on remittance of requisite fees.
