Remedial Coaching for SC, ST and Other Background Communities Including Minority Students
With a view to assist the deserving students particularly byway of providing individual coaching with supply of necessary study materials the college has started Remedial Coachingsince Ninth Plan (2002-2007). At present, due to non- supportive fund by the UGC the college takes special initiatives by spending money out of its own fund to run this programme. A designated Professor takes the special initiative to implement the Scheme.
Career Counselling Cell
The college has a Sub- Committee entrusted to offer Career Counselling comprising of teachers of different Departments. During admission to 1st year calsses and also after the final examination of the University, the Committee extends their hands to the interested students tochoose the right career. It is under the active initiatives of the college large number of students get placement through organization of campus interview including online interview. Dr. Rasmita Satpathy, Assistant Professor, Department of Philosophy and Prof sandip Banerjee, Assistant Professor, Department of Hospitality and Tourism Management look after the affairs with a team of other teaching and non-teaching members.
The College dreams to open some other contemporary job-oriented Courses under the active support of this Cell/Committe to place our students in different nation-building activities.
It is heartening to note that the college runs some highly job-oriented Courses like Aquaculture Management (Hons.), Industrial Fish and Fisheries (B.Sc., Major), Fishery and Farm Management (Three Year B.Voc Degree) and Hospitality and Tourism Management (Three Year B.Voc Degree), where 100% placement is provided to the successfull students.Institute of Cost Accountants in India visit the college every year to counsel the students to enrol their Institute. RICE, an well - known Training Institute regularly counsel the students to go for regular training for various government sector jobs. Gelete India, Ananda Bazar Patrika, IBBS etc are our regular partners motivate our students to choose their career as per their ability choice. At the same time, all the faculty members regularly counsel our students as a true friend philosopher and guide. as a result, the College has succussfully produced a galaxy of well-placed students in different areas of our society.
Seminar Hall
A spacious state-of the art Seminar Hall has been set up for holding Seminars, Conference, Workshop and training etc which is ready for inauguration.
Language Laboratory
The college has set up one Language Laboratory for developing better communicative skills of the students. The career council cell in collaboration with the Language library groom the students for various jobs.
Free Health Check up-cum- Medical facilities
The college conducts free health check up facilities from time to time. Distinguished doctors are invited for giving such facilities to the staff as well as students. Besides free medical treatment is provided to all the staff along with the students by a doctor of the neighboring area on every Saturday. First aid facilities are provided by the department of physiology. They also provide facilities of checking blood sugar, blood pressure etc.
Scholarship / Stipend
Liberal concession in tuition fees are granted by the college to the poor but meritorious students. This facility is also extended to the students belonging to B.P.L. and Antyoday category having attendance of at least 75 percent.

- Reena Memorial Scholarship introduced by Dr. Satish Chandra Maikap to the best Girl Student’.
- Minati Memorial Scholarship introduced by Sri. Sujay Kr. Das to the best Student every year.
- Sripati Charan Pradhan Memorial Scholarship is awarded to the best student.
- Mr. Mahitosh Das has created an endowment fund and yearly corpus of the same is distributed among the students securing top position in each and every department.
Sports Facilities
The college has a play ground for students to play Football, Cricket, Kho-Kho, Volley Ball, Badminton etc.
College Magazine
The Magazine is published once a year and every student is entitled to have copy of the Magazine. However the college takes an initiative to bring out departmental magazine from this academic session on regular basis. A good number of Departments have come out their magazines in the last year.
